Because as he was Bundesinnenminister, he gave away secret information he received about possible legal investigations against a prospective member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) to the SPD leader in October 2013. At this time, the "Great Coalition" was about to form and Friedrich (member of the other partner party to this coalition, the CDU/CSU) tried to prevent the SPD from planning with this certain man for higher positions. The man, a Sebastian Edathy, is suspected to have bought "child pornish material", pictures of nude boys in no obvious sexual context, which don't count as pornography and therefore are not prohibited. German law enforcement though searched his offices and homes and confiscated all of his computers, possibly in search of some really bad stuff. The problem is that all the hard drives were erased or removed, so the guy was warned, obviously. It's hard to tell by whom, but Friedrich has quit because of his breach of secrecy...
Another development took place here in our forum:
Kinski got banned. Obviously, he was the one responsible for me being kicked last year, when he blamed me for things he actually did. It only came out this week, because I finally was told what I was to blame. Thankfully, I still had some proof on me to state whom to blame instead. I'm not proud of it, but I'm not the one to throw a "friend" before a bus in the first place. I'm not sure about Tom's motives, but I'm very disappointed as you surely can imagine...
